Easter...a few weeks late

Shockingly, I'm late putting up some Easter pictures. We had a very quiet Easter at home at the end of which Tim made a fabulous dinner.

These are the Easter flowers Tim got me.
This is a setting on my camera. Crazy right, I didn't even know it existed! Chester and Maddie with their Easter treats.
These are out Easter baskets. Can you guess whose is whose?

So instead of making a bunny cake I tried to make some Easter cup cakes. I made every single piece of these from scratch, down to the batter! Tim loved them, I did not have a single one of them haha. I took a lot of them into work and everyone loved them. First time I've ever made butter creme frosting and it was really good. I made three different colors so they wouldn't be boring haha.
Once I frosted them I rolled them crystallized sugar.

They weren't exactly what I was looking for but they were cute! I'll do better next time!!

Maddie being Maddie

Really....I have no words haha.

Seriously?

Last weekend we were able to have the windows open for the whole weekend. It was awesome. Sadly I didn't really pay attention to Tim when he warned me that the pollen was supposed to be crazy bad. Maybe I also should have payed attention when he got back from his ride on Saturday and his sweat was yellow....ugh! Anyway....this is what happened to my house.

Now I am not the greatest housekeeper but seriously I do dust. This is from less then one day of having the windows open. Ridiculous! thank goodness neither Tim or I have pollen allergies or we'd be going crazy!

I'm still, a week later, finding pollen EVERYWHERE!!!

Fun Busy Weekend

Just a few quick pictures from last weekends trip to the park. They had a blast! The pollen was so bad that at one point Chester had bright yellow streaks across his face. More on the pollen in a moment.

Grand Attempts

Lets not kid ourselves....I'm horrible at updating this thing. I say this frequently but I will try to get better. The past three weeks have been a crazy time at work and at home. Tim and I have both been pulling ten hours days on a regular basis, which neither of us are complaining about. We are both so grateful that in this economy we are secure with our jobs. I believe we have both found companies that we can grow within. At home we've been in entertaining mode! Alli and Shaun came down to visit the second weekend in March, the following weekend we went back to PA, and the weekend after that Jess and Eric came down to visit. Thus....no time to blog, or sit still for that matter!
Tim is not racing for the next two weekends so we are hoping to do some fun stuff. This weekend is supposed to be in the mid 70's and not a cloud in the sky!!! The doggies have been begging to go swimming, so we'll be at the park at some point this weekend. We've got some interesting plans in the next two months!!! Sneak Peak....possibly buying a new car, going to the Queen's Cup Steeplechase in Charlotte, and maybe going to a ball! Wooohoo should be exciting.
Just thought I'd keep y'all updated!!!

Tripp's Baptism

SO I don't know if it's the kid or the lighting I'm always in but I swear Tripp is like the elusive shot. I'd love to steal him for the day just to see if I can ever get a truly good shot of him. My snapshots come out okay but when I try for the good shot I get blur.....grrrr. Oh well....here are a few pictures from Tripp's baptism. I need to warm some of them up but here they are as is. Beth if you want me to make you a cd and send it home let me know!

Back to York

Tim and I went back to PA this past weekend for my nephews baptism. Saturday night we had a birthday dinner for Mom. Nothing huge but we were all home so it worked. Below are just a few pictures of the crew.

Suzi....doing what Suzi does! haha

Beth, Doug, and Tripp...and yes he's only four months old.
Beth making faces at Tripp.
Tripp is teething and a cold wash cloth works very well.

If there's no cold wash cloth....only your fingers will do!

Beth and Katie eating the same cookie.

Tim playing blocks with Katie....she still loves knocking them all over.

I am going to get the few pictures I took at the baptism up soon.
