Tim and I went to Charleston this past weekend. We were there for a total of 27 hours and when you take out sleeping time it comes to around 18 hours. Tim had a bike race on Saturday and again on Sunday, they weren't his best races but Sunday he did pretty well!
These were taken before Tim's race on Saturday. The race was in a development called I'ON Village. These houses were amazing! The whole development was so well kept and the people were so nice too. The residents of the village were having parties and just inviting everyone that walked by to come on in and get a drink! It was fun for me although Timothy did not have a great time during his race.

After the race on Saturday we managed to salvage the day! We went to Boone Hall Plantation. It was crazy expensive but the grounds were worth the price. The house was pretty, it's still kept as a private residence so you only get to see like four rooms, but it's a sham. The house itself was built in 1936! The house was a big let down but the garden and land surrounding the house were beautiful.

This is the house and part of the gardens. I have a thousand pictures of the flowers but I won't bore you with those. They were actually holding a wedding there that evening.

We're calling this my senior portrait. Good job Timothy and my camera!

There was a brick wall in front of the house and it was curved...I thought it was fun.

This was one side of the drive up to the house. Both sides of this drive have oak trees that are evenly spaced. It's so pretty. If you can see the car in the bottom right corner you can somewhat get the scale of these massive trees.

Us in front of a rose bush. It's really hard to take self portraits when your arms aren't all that long!

After our trip to the plantation we were lucky enough to meet up with my Mom's friend Patty for dinner. We went to a great restaurant called The Mustard Seed. We got to spend some time with Patty, her husband Eugene, and their daughter Jacqueline.
We decided to get up bright and early on Sunday to get our last two stops done before Tim's race at 12. Our first stop was the beach! We got our feet in but that was about it...it's still only April!

Once again, I have a thousand pictures of us and or birds on the beach but I will not bore you with all of those.

Our next stop was downtown Charleston. We really didn't get to see much of it because we only had an hour. We drove down to the Battery and just walked around for as long as we could. Timothy has now decided that he wants to move to Charleston....like we didn't just move! haha It will be the next stop on our moving tour! Below are just a few pictures we took during our walk.

We have so many pictures from this trip so when we come home I'll bring them. It takes too long to load everything onto this website but if there's anything else you want to see email me and I can send them to you! Hope y'all are having a good week! Tim's in Indiana all week so the doggies and I are flying solo!
