Tim and I went to Charleston this past weekend. We were there for a total of 27 hours and when you take out sleeping time it comes to around 18 hours. Tim had a bike race on Saturday and again on Sunday, they weren't his best races but Sunday he did pretty well!

These were taken before Tim's race on Saturday. The race was in a development called I'ON Village. These houses were amazing! The whole development was so well kept and the people were so nice too. The residents of the village were having parties and just inviting everyone that walked by to come on in and get a drink! It was fun for me although Timothy did not have a great time during his race.

After the race on Saturday we managed to salvage the day! We went to Boone Hall Plantation. It was crazy expensive but the grounds were worth the price. The house was pretty, it's still kept as a private residence so you only get to see like four rooms, but it's a sham. The house itself was built in 1936! The house was a big let down but the garden and land surrounding the house were beautiful.

This is the house and part of the gardens. I have a thousand pictures of the flowers but I won't bore you with those. They were actually holding a wedding there that evening.

We're calling this my senior portrait. Good job Timothy and my camera!

There was a brick wall in front of the house and it was curved...I thought it was fun.

This was one side of the drive up to the house. Both sides of this drive have oak trees that are evenly spaced. It's so pretty. If you can see the car in the bottom right corner you can somewhat get the scale of these massive trees.

Us in front of a rose bush. It's really hard to take self portraits when your arms aren't all that long!

Tim standing in the smoke house.

After our trip to the plantation we were lucky enough to meet up with my Mom's friend Patty for dinner. We went to a great restaurant called The Mustard Seed. We got to spend some time with Patty, her husband Eugene, and their daughter Jacqueline.

We decided to get up bright and early on Sunday to get our last two stops done before Tim's race at 12. Our first stop was the beach! We got our feet in but that was about it...it's still only April!

Once again, I have a thousand pictures of us and or birds on the beach but I will not bore you with all of those.

Our next stop was downtown Charleston. We really didn't get to see much of it because we only had an hour. We drove down to the Battery and just walked around for as long as we could. Timothy has now decided that he wants to move to Charleston....like we didn't just move! haha It will be the next stop on our moving tour! Below are just a few pictures we took during our walk.

Tim acting like the statue! haha

We have so many pictures from this trip so when we come home I'll bring them. It takes too long to load everything onto this website but if there's anything else you want to see email me and I can send them to you! Hope y'all are having a good week! Tim's in Indiana all week so the doggies and I are flying solo!

Just a few pictures from Valentines!

We had a quiet Valentines this year due to us both working. Tim still managed to get me these amazing Tulips! I can't wait to have some time to sit with photo shop and play with the pictures! I made Tim a heart shaped cookie cake....it was half gone that night and he finished it the next day(and of course did not put on a pound).

Also, this past weekend was the beginning of bike race season. Tim has upgraded to cat 2 this year so the competition is much harder. All of his races are a minimum of around 80 miles and consist of cat 1(pro) and cat 2 racers. His first race had around 75 riders and he placed 13th! Not bad! He beat a lot of pro riders which is great for his first race this year. I wasn't able to go because I was working but he was so happy to be out racing again.

Broken Down Maddie

So as I'm sure you heard.....Maddie is a tad broken. Although, she's much better today. She ripped the enamel off of her thumb. It was gross and then had to put her under to take a good look at it, which of course made me cry. I can't handle that at all! Good lord only knows what's going to happen when I have kids!

This was Maddie on her first night with the wrap. She was so good about not picking at it....I was a proud mamma! She did like that it was red though haha

This is a more close view. She was on pain killers and antibiotics, just in case. Also, that's not blood....it's dirt. Let's remember even though she's broken she's still Maddie.

We finally hung that clock!!! It only took me a year and a half! We hung the clock up and also finished up the end tables. There's a ton of furniture in this room now and that bugs me a little but I'll figure it out eventually!

Chester says thanks for looking!!!

Dogs!

This is the park that's about ten minutes down the road from us. The other week, when we had a few days of 70+ weather, we decided to take a walk through the park. There are tons of trails and this one happened upon a stream. Since Maddie and Chester wanted to get in we walked about a mile up the stream and let them off their leashes.....fun ensued haha.
This was actually taken awhile ago while we were driving home from the lake in PA. Maddie was drying herself out the window!
This one is kind of hard to see but if you look closely you can see why this little golden thing enjoys water so much!

I have about 15 pictures that all look similar to this. Maddie found a stick that she wanted more then any treat this side of the who knows what. Anyway she wrestled with it for probably 15 minutes to no avail...reason being, it was a root.
The reason there are no pictures of Chester is because he refused to sit still for two seconds. He was jumping all over the place and having such a blast meandering around! It's hard enough to get pictures of a black dog let along when he won't even stop to look at you!

A few from Christmas

Before this turns into yet another homage to Katie, it's time for some doggie pictures! Maddie decided she wanted to play with the Christmas lights this year. So of course we let her. She got herself tangled up and I gave her the Santa hat and the rest is ridiculous cuteness. It was pretty dark so I don't have many pictures but here are some cute dogs for ya! Oh yea....Chester wanted to get in on the fun as well! haha

Once she started to try and eat the lights we figured it was time to abort.

Re Cap.....

I'm going to back up a little and post some pictures for everyone. Here are some pictures from Katie's Birthday party and a few from Christmas. I was far too busy watching everyone open presents to take too many pictures.
Where's Marc when you need him?
Katie enjoying her moo'ing flashlight!
I like to think this is Katie telling me she's 1!
Mmmmmmm CAKE!

This is all I have time for tonight! I have off tomorrow so I will update with some more pictures! P.S. Suzi....I seem to have lost the tracking number but I will get it again tomorrow and check on stuff!!!
